Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Bush told the territory’s parliament on Monday that he plans to press ahead with legislation enacting a financial management agreement known as the Framework for Fiscal Responsibility (FFR) in terms different from those previously agreed with Britain.

Russia’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Denis Manturov said in Havana that bilateral trade with Cuba grew 70 percent in the first nine months of this year over the same period of 2011.

Premier of Nevis and Minister of Education, Joseph Parry, has signed an agreement with University of the Virgin Islands president David Hall that will allow Nevisian students to attend UVI at a discounted tuition rate.

Increased competition in the telecoms market is expected to play a major role in the Barbados government’s strategy to bring the sector on par with the offerings in countries which are leaders in the sector.
