A senior local government official in Trinidad and Tobago says gambling establishments or “web shops” should not be legalized in The Bahamas, and instead suggests that the ruling Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) create a national lottery.

In a press statement late on Tuesday, Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Bush yielded to British demands in relation to a financial management agreement known as the Framework for Fiscal Responsibility (FFR).
